Clarify buildModes in conditional settings in documentation (#2223)

### ❔What, Why & How

Since build modes in the conditional settings are matched using
wildcards just like other settings, the documentation should reflect
this. Until now, the documentation has given the impression that exact
matching without wildcards is required for build modes.
